A very likable character,held in high asteem by his family and well respected by friends and neighbours.Larry was born on 6th March 1944 in St Blazey where he was raised with his brothers Terry and Ronald with whom he maintained contact over the years.Once his education was complete Larry obtained employment as a scaffolder/builder whilst in his leisure time he enjoyed going lamping with his mates and landscaping,taking great delight in creating and designing several gardens in various places that he lived.Larry gave up work in the nineties to care for his Mother Ellie untill her death in 2001 after which he and his partner Pam had more time to spend in each other's company taking quiet pleasure in driving around Cornwall and eating out.In the ensuing years Larry also looked forward to visits from his children Larry,Lita,Darren,Gregory,Paul,Shaun and Helen all of whom he thought the world and of whom he was very proud.It was always his wish that his family should live in harmony and to that end Larry did his best to ensure that all his children got on well.He had struggled with his health latterly yet Larry never bemoaned his lot taking everything in his stride untill passing away at home on the 29th February 2012 his immortality assured through the lives of his much-loved children and eleven grandchildren.Not how did he die,but how did he live?Not what did he gain,but what did he give-These are the units to measure the worth Of a man as man,regardless of birth-Not what was his church,nor what was his creed?But had he befriended those really in need?Was he ever ready with word of good cheer,To bring back a smile to banish a tear?Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say-But how many were sorry when he passed away.(2:15 Monday March 19th 2012).
